Best Time to Visit Kedarnath

Kedarnath, a sacred Hindu shrine nestled in the breathtaking Himalayan region of Uttarakhand, is revered for its spiritual significance and natural beauty. The best time to visit Kedarnath is during the summer months, from May to June and then again in September, which is the temple's official opening and closing period.

During these months, the weather is relatively pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 5°C to 20°C, making it ideal for trekking and exploring the pristine surroundings. The lush green landscapes and blooming flowers add to the charm, creating a picturesque setting for your pilgrimage.

However, it's crucial to note that Kedarnath experiences extreme cold and heavy snowfall during the winter months, making the temple inaccessible from late October to April. Monsoon season, from July to August, also brings heavy rainfall and the risk of landslides, making it less favorable for travel.
